-The swim team is invited to the basketball game Tuesday vs. North Gaston @ 6:00. Our only state champion in swimming, Miss Lauren Fayssoux will be recognized for her title at the beginning of the game. Please come and show your support.

-Beta Club members interested in going to the Beat Club convention February 2-3, sign up outside Ms. Garahan's door by Friday. Beta Club officers, see Ms. Garahan tomorrow or Wednesday.

-Don't forget about the informational meeting for the new club (Students for the Cure) promoting JDRF and Juvenile Diabetes awareness. It will be held in Mrs. Lyons room, D104, immediately after school Thursday, December 15

-Forms for attendance appeals will be available for pick up in the front office starting, November 29th. Please make sure to get an appeal form if you have missed 10 or more days in any of your classes. These forms are a necessary part of the attendance appeal process and must be turned in no later than 12/20 to the front office if you are to be considered for an appeal.

-10th graders: Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership, commonly known as HOBY, is one of the oldest and most prominent youth leadership organization sin the world. It is a youth leadership development organization designed to inspire change within your own community. If you are interested in applying to attend the weekend long conference in June, please see Ms. Walters in guidance for application. Completed applications are due November 30th to Ms. Walters.

-North Carolina school of Science and Mathematics is now accepting applications. The application deadline is January 15th.

-All Students interested in auditioning for HAIRSPRAY, our spring musical. There will be a brief meeting tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 8th after school in D137 (Mrs. Alexander's room) all those interested in either acting, teaching or being in the band, should attend. Get a chance to sign up for audition slots !! Find out about the musical in general. Auditions will be Dec 13, 14 and 15th. This is open to anyone in the school.

-Mandatory HOSA meeting Thursday, December 8th. All members please attend!

-German Club will meet on Monday, December 12th after school in LC1. We will have German Christmas cookies, punch, music and videos. Club officers must attend this meeting!

-The Thespian Society meeting scheduled for this afternoon has been Rescheduled for Next Tuesday, December 13th. Don't forget we will be reading original scripts. Get them to Mrs. Spivey early so we will have enough copies for all characters.

-There will be a Literature Appreciation club meeting Thursday, December 8th in Ms. Avery's room. We will be discussing our book "Looking for Alaska"


-Attention all 10th grade students; we will be giving the PLAN test on Tuesday, December 6th. This test will begin promptly at 8:00. We ask that you report immediately and directly to your testing rooms. Testing locations are posted alphabetically outside of Ms. Waldrops room and by the clock. If you do not already know your testing location, please make sure to check the list. All other students should report directly to their 2nd period class on Tuesday.

-There will be an FCCLA meeting in D102 on Tuesday, Dec 6

-The Thespian Society meeting scheduled for this afternoon has been Rescheduled for Next Tuesday, December 13th. Don't forget we will be reading original scripts. Get them to Mrs. Spivey early so we will have enough copies for all characters.
