-NC State is hosting their 3rd annual Triangle Youth Leadership Conference on November 12th from 10am-8pm. The conference includes a day of speakers, workshops and activities that will teach students the skills they need to create positive community change.

-Anyone interested in playing sports in the Winter season needs to start thinking about getting a physical or renewing a physical. -NC State is hosting their 3rd annual Triangle Youth Leadership Conference on November 12th from 10am-8pm. The conference includes a day of speakers, workshops and activities that will teach students the skills they need to create positive community change.

-Electronic devices are not to be used in the hallways and common areas.

Participants MUST have a current physical on file with the athletic director in order to practice or try out. Swimming, Basketball and Wresting starts in November. Please be prepared.
-The Forestview Tailgate will be held on Friday, October 21st prior to the Forestview vs. Hunter Huss football game. 11:00am- 7:00pm. Deliveries for orders of 10 or more are available. BBQ available on site from 4:00-7:00. Before that time at Hillbilly's BBQ. Can Dine-In at Forestview after 5:00. $7/plate. Tailgate t-shirts will be available during Parent-Teacher conferences and during the week of October 17th in the cafeteria. Short-sleeve shirts are $7, long-sleeve, $10.

-NC State is hosting their 3rd annual Triangle Youth Leadership Conference on November 12th from 10am-8pm. The conference includes a day of speakers, workships and activities that will teach students the skills they need to create positive community change.
The application deadline is Wednesday October 5th. If you are interested, pleae go to www.triangleleadership.org to apply. See Ms. Walters with any questions.
-The deadline to register for the November 5, 2011 SAT is Friday, October 7. For more information contact your counselor.
-FCCLA meeting Tuesday after school 3:05 in D102 with Mrs. Little. (Dues and TShirts are $12.00)
-The first Literature Appreciation meeting will be Tuesday, October 4th in Mrs. Avery's room B123 right after school.
-All members of National Honor Society nee to stop by Mrs. K. Smith's room in B122 by Wednesday afternoon to vote for officers.
-The Game Club will meet Wednesday October 5th from 3:15-4:00 in LC #5. All interested students are welecome. $5.00 dues will be collected.
-Invisible Childrens Club meeting on Wednesday October 5th in Mrs. Henry's room. Please bring a jar and $10 dues.
-People to People International will hold their first meeting @ 3:00 on Wednesday, October 5th in Mr. Froehlichs room D108. All are invited
-Beta Club- remember to sign up for tutoring outside Mrs. Garahans class.
-Any student who is interested in Advocates for Animals needs to attend the club meeting Thursday after school in room B102. See Mrs. Gerow if you have questions! Bring your ideas and $5.00 dues.
-Forestview Talent Show auditions will be held October 5th (3:00-5:00) and October
6th (5:00-7:00) in the Chorus Room. See Mrs. Alexander with any questionis. Talent Show is October 22
-October 12 is the PSAT please see Mrs. Walters in Guidance for information
-If you haven’t turned in your PTO membership forms, please turn those in as soon as possible. Thanks to all those students and parents that have already joined PTO.
- Students interested in UNC-Greensboro--UNC Greensboro is holding an open house on Saturday, October 22 from 9am-1:30 pm. Register for the program on-line at UNC-Greensboro Showcase or call the school.
-Sister City Student Exchange to German. Students who are enrolled for second semester German and are interested, should pick up an application from Mrs. Schmid-Rankin in Learning Cottage 1 ASAP!
-We have noticed a large number of students carrying bookbags in the hallway during class change. Forestview mesh bags are the only bags allowed in the hallways. All others must be kept in your locker. If you need to purchase a lock bring $8 to your advisory teacher
-Students please be aware of the following rules/procedures:
-Hats are not to be worn in the building
-Pants must be secured at your waste
-Shorts, skirts and dresses must meet the dollar bill rule
-Sleeveless, spaghetti or halter tops are not to be worn
-Book bags can not be carried between classes. The only book bag that can be
carried is the Forestview mesh bag. Can be purchased for $5 in front office
-Electronic devices are not to be used in the hallways and common areas.
-Cell phones must be off and not visible during the school day.
-It is very Important that School Procedures are followed when dropping off or picking up from school. The Policy states that all Students should use the front entrance or student parking lot doors.
