NOVEMBER CHARACTER EDUCATION TRAIT OF THE MONTH: COURAGE

-Please be reminded that NO OUTSIDE DELIVERIES OF FOOD OR DRINK are accepted for students. Also, NO VISITORS to students are allowed during school hours.

-VARSITY CHEERLEADING PRACTICE will be held Tuesday, December 1, from 3:30-5:00 in the cafeteria.

-All students enrolled in ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCE II next semester must see Mrs. Hall in D105 TODAY to pick up important forms!

-The DRIVER EDUCATION CLASS begins Tuesday, December 1. If you signed up for this class, please report immediately after 3:00 to room D127 on Tuesday, December 1.

-Any FOOTBALL PLAYER (JV OR VARSITY) who hasn't turned in their equipment, please make plans to meet TODAY, November 30, at 3:15 in the locker room. We will take the equipment up then.

Unfortunately, some scholarships are not sensitive to the holiday calendar, so planning is key. Prepare yourself for scholarships with December or January deadlines. Make sure you request letters of recommendation and other scholarship components at least a week in advance.

-C-CATS, Clemson's Challenge for Academically Talented Students, is a program designed specifically for high achieving 9th and 10th grade students. C-CATS introduces students to Clemson University through exciting weekend adventures that engage them in the academic, social and recreational best Clemson has to offer. This program is limited to students in the top 10% of their class ranking. Mr. Bennett in guidance will submit Forestview nominations on December 10. See him if you are interested in being nominated.

-Students! Don't forget to buy your FHS PARKING PASSES! If you need one come to the front office. We reserve the right to TOW ANY VEHICLE that is parked in the student parking lot without a pass.

-We are pre-selling FOOTBALL TICKETS for Friday's football game against South Point High School. You may purchase a ticket during lunch or after school for $7.00.

-Each year, the Catalyst Conference brings a selected group of 80 high school students from across North Carolina to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for a weekend-long exploration of social justice issues affecting both America and the larger world. Not only will participants be exposed to social justice issues, they will also have a chance to explore the Chapel Hill campus and learn more about the UNC academic experience. If you are interested in applying, see Mr. Bennett in guidance.

-The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSSM) is a public residential high school for academically talented juniors and seniors. The school offers academic programs designed to educate tomorrow's scientific and technological leaders. Interested students and families are invited to attend an Open House to be held on October 31. See Mr. Bennett in guidance for more information.

-Starting times for winter practices TODAY, November 2! Boys JV and Varsity Basketball will be from 3:15 to 5:15. Girls Varsity will be from 5:15 to 7:15. JV girls basketball tryouts will be from 7:15 to 9:00. Wrestling will start @ 5:30 in the Aux. gym. YOU MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL TO PRACTICE!!!
