It is highly intense in nature and teaches in a practical way the principals of good government at the city, county, and state levels. Only MALES who have completed their JUNIOR year of high school are considered eligible to participate. For more information, see Mr. Bennett in guidance. The deadline for applications is TODAY, March 31.
-The Gaston Gazette's BEST AND BRIGHTEST 2010 AWARDS PROGRAM will honor one SENIOR from each of the Greater Gaston area high schools who epitomize the community builders of their generation. These students are committed to their studies, but they are also making meaningful contributions to the betterment of their schools and communities through a myriad of activities. They have shown the ability to balance all the elements in their lives and in some cases have overcome enormous obstacles. Applications for this award can be accessed online or you can see Mr. Bennett in guidance for complete information. -Applications are being accepted for the 2010 session of the AMERICAN LEGION TAR HEEL BOYS' STATE which will be held June 20-26 at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. This is a leadership program of ACTION where participants learn today to lead tomorrow. It is highly intense in nature and teaches in a practical way the principals of good government at the city, county, and state levels. Only MALES who have completed their JUNIOR year of high school are considered eligible to participate. For more information, see Mr. Bennett in guidance. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 31.

-The Gaston Gazette's BEST AND BRIGHTEST 2010 AWARDS PROGRAM will honor one SENIOR from each of the Greater Gaston area high schools who epitomize the community builders of their generation. These students are committed to their studies, but they are also making meaningful contributions to the betterment of their schools and communities through a myriad of activities. They have shown the ability to balance all the elements in their lives and in some cases have overcome enormous obstacles.
